KOLKATA CHAPTER

Setting up of library at Cremers Foundation at Sarsuna Home and visit to Apon Ghar

2016 began on a very positive note for Anavi. Our first visit this year was to Ramola Bhavan, one of the institutes with a long standing association with us.

Anavi and Kolkata opened its arm to Mrs. And Mr. Cremers and gave them a warm welcome to the city of Joy.

Anavi members were in full force at the Anglo Eastern Annual Seminar in Mumbai. A presentation was made about the work done by Anavi in Kolkata.

The Cremers Foundation work at Children’s welfare association, Sarsuna was complete. The repairs were extensive and time consuming but the end result was amazing.

Durga puja is the most important festival in West Bengal. Anavi in its endearing way celebrated this festival with the residents of Apon Ghar.

The month of September is special to all as we celebrate Teacher’s day.” Mata Pita Guru Deivam”. This Sanskrit line simply states the importance of a guru or teacher in a persons life.

It may not sound very modest but we can be proud of ourselves for breaking our own record.

Last month in June Anavi celebrated its birthday with the children at Sarsuna School. Continuing this tradition of celebration with a difference Anavi’s newest member Mrs. Indrani Saha made her birthday memorable with the inmates at Ramola Bhavan and Apon Ghar.

If you want to touch the past, touch a rock. If you want to touch the present, touch a flower. If you want to touch the future, touch a life. Since 2009 Anavi has been touching lives.
